We'll put new pic on top so don't have to scroll all they down to get to them...
December 22, 2006----It's almost Christmas and Aibigail has really grown. She is about 24 pounds now and wearing a size 18 month. She can walk EVERYWHERE and has figured out how to start climbing. YIKES! She jabbers all of the time and when we are out in public she greets EVERYONE she sees with a "HI!!". Even people who are far away and not paying attention to her will hear a very loud "HI!" and she won't stop saying it until they say "Hi" back to her. Of course everyone thinks its cute. At least she's sociable and polite. Even in the middle of a temper tantrum she will say "thank you" when someone hands her something (like her favorite pillow). She's getting quite a vocabulary of words and understands almost everything we talk about. Her hair is STILL short. It just has not grown at all since we brought her home. Finally, I am seeing it thickening up a bit and growing just a little. Nana and Poppop Coburn are visiting her for Christmas right now and on the 26th we are flying to Iowa so she will see the Buck side of the family there. The tubes Abigial got put in her ears in October seem to really help her overall mood and sleep patterns. That's a relilef for Mom and Dad. She really enjoys going to Mother's Morning Out at our church and playing with everyone there (thank goodness, for mom). We're so grateful to have this beautiful child in our lives. Here are some of the latest pictures:

September 15, 2006---I know it's been a while since I last posted. There's not much to report except that Abigail is growing and getting settled in more each day. Last week was busy. We were in New York seeing Nana, Poppop, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Then we flew to Colorado to see Aunt Jackie, cousin John, and to attend Jeanne's friend, Jana's, wedding. It was good to see everyone and have them all meet Abigail but it was a hard trip on Abigail. She got diarrhea midway through the trip and wasn't very happy about it. Not every moment was difficult, but it was probably a bit overwhelming to try to do 2 trips back to back.
Abigail can say a few words now. She says, "Hi, Thank you (doot doo), cracker, quack quack, diaper, Mamma and Dee (Daddy). " She can use sign language for a few words, too. She can say, "more, all done, cracker, milk, drink, banana, swing, dog, Daddy, and Momma." She squeals with a very high pitched, loud noise when she wants to communicate something and doesn't know how. It is very painful to the ears. She's still not quite walking. Almost. She stands on her own and tries to take a few steps and falls down. It won't be long now. I know you are probably checking our web site for pictures, mostly and not my ramblings so I'll get right to it. Here are some recent pictures:
Pretty girl with a pretty flower in her hair.
She LOVES to swing!
Trying to do the sign for "swing" while she is swinging. Not an easy feat to accomplish.
Meeting Aunt Jackie's horse, Oz. The first horse she's ever met.
Meeting Mommy's friend, Jana.
I am a "chatty cathy" on the phone.
Everything that makes me happy. Milk, a teddy bear, the remote control, my favorite pillow, and a telephone.
August 12, 2006---Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. Nothing terribly exciting happening with us today. I guess that means we've been married too long. Chris gave me a nice card and a Reece's peanut butter cup (my favorite). He didnt' get anything because I didn't have a chance to get anything. We decided that Abigail is our best anniversary present. She is really relaxing a lot more and settling in. It's so much fun to watch her learn new things. She's got some fun faces she has learned to make and some neat sounds. Her pillow is her favorite thing. It goes everywhere with her. Even the high chair. It's a good thing the cover is washable. I need to find more of them, though and I got it in China so I can't find one anywhere. If you find one, let me know. I know you want to see some pictures so I won't write much more. Enjoy below!
Abigail LOVES to take a bath and Chris and she always have a fun time playing in the water. Here she is after one of those fun baths.
We went to the lake a few weeks ago. We forgot to take sunscreen (of all things) so we weren't in the water long, but we did get to be the fashionista at the lake.
Chris thinks she looks like a grandma in this picture.
We had a visitor in our back yard the other day. This was the first armadillo I've ever seen that wasn't splatted all over the road. He came right up close to the house. Murphy about had a fit and Abigail was quite perplexed. This would be why we have so many holes in the yard! We also saw some raccoons and a possum back by the trees. It was a "zoo" at our house that day.
Not a great picture of Abigail. She has started to anticipate the flash of the camera when the red eye flash goes off so she kinda squints. I found this top at the store and HAD to get it. How true it is??!!!!
Here's a picture of that silly pillow that Abigail can't live without. If anyone finds one similar, please let me know. It' has a corduroy cover and seems to be filled with what I call buckwheat.

July 23, 2006----9:00 PM---Ok. I'm sorry for not getting on here lately. I know it has been a while. Abigail is doing great. We only take 1/2 an hour to get to sleep now. That's down from and hour and a half. Her personality continues to come out more and more. Mom and dad are bushed!!!! We haven't had time to update much. Grandma Buck and Nana and Popop Coburn were here to visit and all of them fell in love with her. I can't believe she turns 1 tomorrow!! We celebrated her birthday when Nana and Popop Coburn were here with balloons, cake and presents. Then she was awake from 10:00 to 3:30 that night. I was supposed to fly to Dallas to attend Mary Kay seminar with Abigail in tow, but, alas, that did not happen. At 4:00AM I made the decision I could not put her on a plane at 6:30 AM after a night of being awake crying and screaming. So I did not get to go. It would have been a bit stressful for her. There will be other seminars to attend. Now I REALLY have to go to work to make up the difference. Call me for your skin care and color cosmetic needs!!!! We haven't had a night like that since then so hopefully that is out of her system for a while. I also got some Bubble Be Gone from the health food store that is supposed to be awesome. She is ALMOST ready to walk. She pulls herself up alot and crawls really fast now. She has an independent firery spirit, so when she puts her mind to something, she really goes for it. She'll be running around her in no time. She blows kisses and kisses mom and dad now. I had her bangs trimmed just a little to get that hair out of her eyes. She will have no part of barretts yet. We can't even keep socks on her. And forget velcro shoes. They don't stay on either. Wednesday we're getting her picture taken at Sears, so I hope to have some good pictures of her up then.
